Being sustainable and in sync with nature is central to everything we do in Mad Hotels. From how we build our hotels to the way we operate them.

“Where and how the materials we use are manufactured, is as important as the sustainable nature of the materials themselves”
- Our solar panels were manufactured 40 km from Mad Mount, using renewable energy only.
- Our floors are 98% organic and recyclable.
- Most of our hotel is built in wood sourced from sustainable Swiss forests and processed by “Les Artisans du Bois” in Monthey, 57km away from the Mad Mount
Madly Green Operations
- Our roof and some external walls are covered by solar panels, allowing us to generate more electricity that we consume. Add the benefit that lower costs mean lower prices for our guests.
- ZERO fossil fuels! Even our heating system (provided by Heitzman close to Lucerne) uses a renewable energy source
- All our consumables are sustainable and recyclable. We have a “no single-use or disposable plastic items” policy in our hotel
- Our toiletries are as natural and sustainable as possible, and the paper we use is recycled and will be recycled after use
- All our waste is fully recycled
